LIPTON CENTENNIAL NEWS

First and foremost, thanks to all who purchased a raffle ticket. We sold all 200! The winning ticket was purchased by Ernest Posey at SYC. Congratulations Mr. Posey!!

We’re closing in on our self-imposed deadline of getting photos and text to the publisher for the Centennial book. While we have quite a number of Lipton programs and a complete list of skippers and crew for every Lipton race – Thank You Harry Chapman and Michael Hage – we don’t have a lot of photos. I would ask that everyone look around your club, look through your photos, look anywhere you think there may be Lipton photos, scan a copy of the photo and send it to me along with the year the photo was taken and, where possible, identify each person in the photo. Action photos/on-the-water shots are also needed.

Club Commodores: I need a photo of your current club.

Preferred media for all photos is .jpg with as high a resolution as possible.

Any of the above should be sent to cbook@gya.org with the subject line ‘Lipton Book’.

We’re still pre-selling the Centennial book. There are several ways you can purchase yours:
1) go to the GYA web site and on the left side of the home page you can purchase up to 3 books through PayPal
2) click here to go to the Pre-Order Form on the GYA web site if you want to go the old fashion route and use snail mail
3) give me a call and I can take your CC# over the phone

There is also still time to honor someone or their memory in the book.  Click here for the form and details.

If you have any questions feel free to give me a call at 251-895-0993.

Thanks to all.
