Kattack News and Announcements

3 February 2011

The GYA has had great feedback and success with the initial year of Kattack Tracking. The costs for clubs to continue to participate in 2011 have been reduced thanks to the GYA Executive Committee. If your club has not yet sent in their renewal fee (or fee to enroll) please use this form. Checks need to be in no later than February 15th.

General Kattack Information

To view the LIVE races:

  1. Open the Kattack Web Player - http://www.kattack.com/webplayer/
        Username: gya
        Password: gyagya

  2. Once open, look/click "Gulfport Challenge" if you do not see the "live" race. You will need to click on the big button "Update Races"

  3. Double click on the race to start playing.

To view the Race Replays:

  1. The races will need to be compiled before they will be available for replay. This is done by somebody from the Kattack Committee.

  2. The races will be listed on the player from newest to oldest.

To get the race reports: (Top speed, average speed, distance, etc...)

You will need to download the Kattack PC Player (free)

Once in PC player, click on performance reports.

You cannot watch the live racing on the PC Player but it is better for replays

Kattack Procedures

Thursday - If possible find a plug by a big window

  1. Plug In all phones (making sure it is charging, will say "charger attached" or something like that). Just open boxes and plug phone in (stacking the open cases seems to be the easiest, they don't get mixed up)

  2. TURN ON! all the phones. They will be on for the rest of the weekend.

  3. Let sit and get linked up. That is it!!!

Friday -

Unplug all phones to make sure the battery is charged. They all should still be on and tracking.

PLUG BACK IN! This was just to test.

Saturday

Unplug all units making sure all are on, close cases, then place all units in the Kattack Box

Make announcement at skippers meeting (see below)

Place box out by hoist. Make sure the RC gets the 3 mark units.

Put box away in safe place after all boats grab theirs, so they don't get stolen.

After Racing Put box back out.

Once all units are gathered bring back to charging area and plug all back in. LEAVE THEM ON!!!

Sunday

Same procedure just turn OFF all units when packing them up with the chargers.
