The purpose of the One-Design Committee is to promote and support One-Design class sailing within the Gulf Yachting Association and to provide a forum for the One-Design fleets to exchange views and help solve problems.

The One-Design Committee shall promote GYA interclub competition for the Commodore Auguste Capdevielle Memorial Trophy, and other GYA sanctioned and/or sponsored interclub competitions among One-Design classes and multihulls, by proposing any improvements to format, competition, race management, rules and regulations it deems necessary.

The One-Design Committee membership shall consist of a single representative of each GYA General Member Club; such delegates shall be referred to as One-Design Committee Representatives. The representative member of each club will serve a two-year term.
