The Mobile Yacht Club is seeking candidates to fill a paid position of sailing director.  The sailing director is responsible for all Junior Sailing activities including development and conducting weekly sailing practice sessions, preparation for and attending Junior sailing regattas and arranging for or conducting periodic seminars for junior sailors.  The sailing director is also responsible for the care and maintenance of the club’s fleet of junior sailing craft including Optimist, 420, and laser class sailboats and the powered support boats.  Currently the Club has a small junior program, which it is working to develop and grow.  We are currently offering this position as part time (minimum 20 hours per week).

Candidates applying for this position must be a minimum of 21 years old, must be US Sailing level 2 Certified and must have had at least 5 years experience with sailing instruction and racing with youth from 12 to 18 years of age.
